Sarah Midkiff is a Los Angeles–based visual artist and creative director whose work is rooted in storytelling, world-building, and cultural documentation. Working across photography, direction, and creative direction, she brings over a decade of experience crafting elevated documentary imagery, narrative portraiture, and live music visuals.
Her work spans promotional and campaign photography, international tour and festival documentation, music videos, live sessions, and documentaries. She has collaborated with artists including Chris Stapleton and worked alongside labels and platforms such as Warner Music Group, Sony Music Group, Interscope, RCA Records, Spotify, and Republic Records, helping shape cohesive visual narratives that extend beyond a single project and evolve alongside the music.
In addition to music, Sarah has partnered with brands including Fender, Bose, Stella McCartney, and Dr. Martens, bringing the same documentary-driven approach to brand storytelling. Her work has been commissioned by editorial outlets such as Rolling Stone, i-D, the LA Times, V Magazine, SPIN, and NME.
Her practice is rooted in collaboration and an attention to authentic, unscripted moments that bring depth and humanity to each project.
